1. Policy Overview
This Booking Cancellation Policy (Policy) sets out the terms and conditions governing cancellation of
confirmed reservations made with Happy Cony LLC (Company, we, us, or our) via our website
(https://conycarrental.com), phone, or authorized partners.
It works in conjunction with our Refund & Cancellation Policy, Booking Policy, and Terms & Conditions.
This Policy is designed to ensure transparency, protect both customers and the Company, and maintain fair
handling of cancellations in line with U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Hawaii State consumer
protection laws.
2. Standard Cancellation Windows
1. Free Cancellation:
– Cancellations made at least 24 hours before scheduled pickup are eligible for a 100% refund of prepaid
rental fees.
– No administrative fees apply for cancellations within this free window.
2. Late Cancellation:
– Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup time are subject to a one-day rental charge or the minimum
rental fee, whichever is higher.
3. No-Show:
– Failure to appear for pickup within 2 hours of scheduled pickup time without prior notice is treated as a
No-Show, resulting in forfeiture of the total prepaid amount.
3. Cancellation Methods
Customers may cancel their booking through one of the following channels:
– Online at https://conycarrental.com/manage-booking
– By email: support@conycarrental.com
Note: Verbal cancellation requests are valid only after written confirmation (email or SMS) is received from
the Company.
The effective cancellation time is the timestamp when your written notice is received by Cony Car Rentals
LLC.
4. Third-Party & Affiliate Cancellations
– If your booking was made via a third-party platform or affiliate, you must cancel through that same channel.
– Third-party cancellation timelines and refund amounts may differ from Happy Cony LLC’s direct policy.
– The Company will assist with verification but cannot override partner refund processes.
5. Company-Initiated Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel a booking and issue a full refund in cases such as:
– Vehicle unavailability due to maintenance or unforeseen damage;
– Suspected fraud or failed payment authorization;
– Natural disasters, safety issues, or government-imposed travel restrictions;
– Customer’s failure to meet rental eligibility (age, license, or ID mismatch).
Customers will be notified immediately, and no penalty will apply in these cases.
6. Modifications vs. Cancellations
– Modifications (e.g., date/time/vehicle changes) are treated separately from cancellations and may result in
rate differences.
– Once a modification is confirmed, the original booking’s refund eligibility no longer applies.
– If you later cancel a modified booking, the new cancellation date and rate will determine refund eligibility.
7. Refund Processing
– Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5-10 U.S. business days after
confirmation.
– Refunds for bank-wire or third-party transactions may require additional time depending on intermediary
institutions.
– All refunds are processed in U.S. dollars (USD); currency conversion or foreign bank fees are the renter’s
responsibility.
8. Non-Refundable Fees
The following charges are non-refundable after payment:
– Optional Add-Ons (GPS, child seat, insurance packages, etc.);
– Late-return penalties or damage fees;
– Administrative or document processing fees (where applicable).
9. Force Majeure
If your trip is affected by natural disasters, severe weather, or emergencies (declared under state or federal
law), we will:
– Offer a full refund, or
– Issue a rental credit valid for 12 months from the original booking date.
Refunds or credits are processed based on case-by-case review at management discretion.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute regarding a booking cancellation shall be governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, and
disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Honolulu County, Hawaii.
The Company encourages customers to contact the Billing Department first for amicable resolution.
